Leeds United Playing Squad for the
relegation 2003-04 Season

Scott Carson

Scott Carson

Scott Carson
Goalkeeper
Squad Number: 40
International: England Youth, U-21

Born in Whitehaven on 3rd September, 1985, Scott already has a number of England representative honours to his credit. He is said to command his area.
Following the departure of Nigel Martyn to Everton at the start of the 2003-04 season Scott leap-frogged Danny Milosevic for the Reserve keeper's jersey. Despite his lack of experience, in October 2003 Scott was selected for the England U-21 squad!

Scott made his full-match first team debut in the 1-1 draw against Man Utd at Old Trafford on 21st Feb, 2004.
(Paul Robinson was banned having been Red carded, conceding a penalty, in the game against Middlesborough at Elland Road. Scott stepped onto the pitch and faced resulting the penalty. His first touch on his debut was retrieving it from the back of the net!
Scott has appeared in goal for the England U-21 side during February 2004.

Following the departure of Martyn and Robinson, Carson looks set for a busy 2004-2005 season in the First Division.
Made his debut as the 'first choice' keeper at Chelsea on Sat, 15th May following the departure of Robinson to Spurs the previous day.
