Leeds United Playing Squad for the relegation 2003-04 Season
Danny Milosevic
Danny Milosevic Goalkeeper
Squad Number: 26 International: Australia U-23
Signed from Perth Glory on 20th Jan, 2000 for just £ 100,000 by David O'Leary, Danny was born in Carlton, Australia. The 6' 3" goalkeeper is a regular for the Olyroos, Australia's Olympic squad but has not broken into the Leeds first team due to the presence of two England goalkeepers, Martyn and Robinson.
But as Nigel Martyn has now moved on to Everton, Danny now has the job of deputising for Paul Robinson. Danny has been an unlucky keeper, loan periods with Crewe and Plymouth last season both ending prematurely due to injury. Let's hope Aussie Danny didn't pick up any unpleasant similarities from fellow Australian Harry Cruel during their time together.
Danny was released from his contract at the end of September 2003. This followed Nigel Martyn leaving Leeds to go to Everton. Danny lost the newly available reserve keeper's jersey to Scott Carson, who is younger. With the writing on the wall and Leeds keen to save money, Danny was released.
