Leeds United Playing Squad for the Championship 2004-05 Season
Simon Johnson
Simon Johnson Forward
Squad Number: 31
Born in West Bromwich on 9th March, 1983, Simon was signed from Hull City. He got his debut under Peter Reid, as a second half substitute during the 6-1 away demolition of Charlton at the back end of 2002-03 season.
Never seemed to get a run in the team, being frequently loaned out. The recent loan signing of Rob Hulse, ironically from WBA, saw him loaned out to Barnsley for the rest of the season. Possibly for the last time in his Leeds career given the pronouncements from the Leeds management that up to 19 players could be leaving Elland Road this summer. Seems likely that he will join McMaster and Harpal Singh on the very long list of promising youngsters who never made it from the Leeds Utd Academy.
