Bradley left Northampton Town when he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract on 8 January 2008 to play for Dennis Wise.
Johnson made his first appearance for Leeds United on January 14, when he replaced David Prutton in their League One fixture against Crewe at the Alexandra Stadium.
He scored his first goal for Leeds United at Elland Road against AFC Bournemouth on March 8, when he scored the first goal in the 2–0 victory.
Although a central midfielder, Johnson has established himself on the left wing under Gary McAllister. Due to on-loan Alan Sheehan's red card he played at left back in the last game of the 2007-2008 season against Gillingham FC,scoring a long-range volley. He kept the left-back slot through the play-off semi-finals against Carlisle United, and in the Wembley play-off final against Doncaster Rovers even though Alan Sheehan was available for the final.
On-loan Alan Sheehan signed permanently for Leeds in July 2008 and so Bradley is expected to return to left wing duties next season (2008-09)
