He started in the 2-0 League Cup victory over Oldham and his home debut was in the 3-3 draw with Brighton (10/9/05) in which he scored the sensational added-on-time equaliser. He played over 40 games during the season culminating in the disappointment of the play-off final in Cardiff. After which game he returned to Blackburn Rovers.
