Tore-Andre Flo announced his retirement from the game due to a persistent foot injury, on 10 March 2008. He suffered a fractured foot on a scoring debut against WBA and never played again in the 2006-07 Championship season. Although he played for Leeds in League One he was not able to retain a starting spot and decided to retire as he faced a long commute and wanted to spend more time with his young family.
Flo, whose family are Leeds United fans, said on retiring, "I loved my time at Leeds and I just wish I could have been a lot more free of injury. I'd like to thank everyone in and around Leeds for their support. It was great to be a part of the club, and I'm very happy to have played for Leeds United."
He made just 5 league starts and 18 league sub appearances, scoring four goals in the process.
He also made one substitute appearance in the FA Cup.
