Orc Players to Swop
Old Trafford for Strangeways

Scumettes in really deep sh*t

12th Feb 2005 :: by ScumWatch

immature Orc players could face gaol after being convicted of a high-speed road race that ended in a crash leaving two innocent people (including a fellow Orc) hurt.

Scummettes to meet Bubba!

Mads Timm, aged 20, was found guilty of dangerous driving by taking part in a road chase with fellow Orc Callum Flanagan.

The jury at Manchester Crown Court took less than an hour to convict Timm of dangerous driving on Thursday. Perhaps they should have asked for the trial to be moved to London - more chance of Scum fans on the jury?

Callum Flanagan, aged 19, had pleaded guilty to the charge (not surprising seeing as he was the one that hit the victims with his Orcmobile). Both were given bail and will return to court on 3rd March for sentencing. Judge Adrian Smith reminded the pair the charges were a serious matter and adjourned the case while pre-sentence reports were prepared. The junior Orcs face up to two years' imprisonment.

Strangely, there was no official statement from their employers at Mordor. Though if they escape imprisonment, as most drivers do, no doubt Chief Orc, Fergyscum, will condemn them to a season-long loan to Accrington Stanley Reserves.

The Crown Court heard how the pair sped along a 40mph road in Partington, Manchester, after finishing a training session on 14 January 2004. Witnesses reported seeing the players exchanging taunts and gesticulating to one another prior to the crash. Eventually, Flanagan lost control of his car and collided into an oncoming vehicle. The innocent victim was driver Angela Bourne who suffered heel and knee injuries. Fergyscum will be even unhappier as the other injured person who was a passenger in Flanagan's car was fellow Scummette Phil Marsh aged just 17, who had to be cut from the wreckage! You see mom and pop, leave your promising footballing kid at Old Trafford and they'll see to all their needs - like too much money, too much time on their hands, fast cars, no supervision, BUPA, rehabilitation, trauma counselling - the list is endless!

Richard Vardon, prosecuting, described Flanagan, of Ludgate Hill, Manchester, as a "boy racer". Other descriptions for the pair of numpties spring to mind - like "arrogant, overpaid, irresponsible, spoilt brats". No doubt Footballer Apologist-in-Chief, Gordon Taylor, of the PFA will continue to defend the indefensible and place the blame on the club, the game, the agents, the money, the pressure to succeed, their youth - in fact, on everything except the fact that his members are little tossers who are lucky not to have killed someone and be facing ten years as the sexual playthings of Bubba "Call Me Honey" McBastard in Strangeways.
