Former Republic of Ireland manager Mick McCarthy is attempting to bring his former international charge, Ian "The Bull" Harte to the Stadium of Light for a surprise Premiership return.
Ian Harte was one of the few players for whom Leeds Utd got a fee when he left Leeds United after their relegation to join Levante in Spain. However, "At the moment, it is very difficult to let the player leave during January," said Levante's director of sport Pedro Villarroel according to FansFC.com.
Hmmmm, sounds like an opening gambit from Levante to recoup some of the £1 million that they paid Leeds United for his services!
