Bates Starves Agents' Families

14th January, 2006 :: by Badalemente

Figures released by the Football League's ongoing investigation into the extent that parasitic football agents are leeching money from the industry have revealed that the Ken Bates regime at Elland Road has reduced the size of the football agents' trough. Although now unable to get both feet and their snouts into the trough anymore the agents can still engorge their bloated bank accounts as Leeds Utd still spent £576,800 on their fees in the year ended 31st December 2005. Nevertheless, several bastard offspring of these leprous bottom-feeders have had to be taken out of Eton and put into their local comprehensive school after Ken Bates dramatically reduced the Whites contribution to this knobs-heads' retirement fund by nearly £1,000,000! In the previous year ended 31st December, 2004 we spent an incredible £1,553,688 on agents trying to get them to persuade their shiftless, clueless clients to leech onto some other poor sucker.

However, for a less emotional reflection on these figures here's what Shaun Harvey, CEO of Leeds Utd, had to say to the official Leeds Utd web-site:

"The payments Leeds United made in the period under review have decreased by nearly £1million compared to the corresponding period last year.

"We said the figures last year were high as a result of a number of high-profile departures from the club and also anticipated subsequent reports would show a marked decrease.

"This last close season we recruited heavily. A number of these players were recruited on free transfers under stiff competition from other clubs."

Overall Championship clubs paid out £3.7 million to these pointless drones. Figures like these make us here at www.leedsutd365.co.uk really hope that Luton's Mike Newell gets support from other managers to expose the greedy bastards for whom even this official largesse is insufficient to maintain their tacky lifestyles. More bling anyone?
