YOU decided Leeds' front two should be...

15th February 2006 :: by Chris

Just before the latest stirker crisis loomed we asked who YOU thought Kevin Blackwell's best pairing up front would be for Leeds Utd - seeing as he didn't seem to know himself. Your vote was decisively in favour of a partnership of David Healy and Rob Hulse, a pairing that doesn't include either of the in-form strikers Richard Cresswell or last night's two-goal hero Robbie Blake!

For the record, we didn't include either Ian Moore or on-loan Michael Ricketts in the options.

Healy & Hulse were favoured by 37.1% of Leeds fans, a clear victory. However, the choice of Leeds fans doesn't help Kevin much further as to who to play if either of Healy or Hulse is injured. With the exception a Healy and Blake partnership who almost nobody wants to see (3.6%), Leeds fans were closely split on most of the other options. My preference of Hulse and Cresswell garnered only 11.3% of the vote. All other options available to Blackwell were spread from 13.4% to 19.1%.

It seems indecision as to the identity of our best front two is not limited to the manager. It seems strange that the two in-form strikers did so poorly but perhaps it is just a case of the fans taking time to warm up to the new boys?

Who's your ideal choice of striking partnership for Leeds Utd?

   Votes
 Healy & Hulse   37.1%
 Healy & Cresswell   13.4%
 Healy & Blake   3.6%
 Hulse & Cresswell   11.3%
 Hulse & Blake   19.1%
 Cresswell & Blake   15.5%

It's not to late to give Kevin your opinion on this poll on our BBS.
