Out of favour Jermaine Wright is being farmed out on loan again. He had a fairly successful pre-Christmas loan spell at the New Den but Millwall didn't renew the loan. With the arrival of Bakke (back from Villa) and Joel Griffiths (£28,000 transfer from Neuchatel Xamax) at Elland Road, plus the news that Steve Stone is getting over his Achilles problem, the Leeds United midfield is getting very crowded, especially when Kevin Blackwell favours a three-man midfield!
The word is that Wright will be making a long trek down to Southampton to rejoin George Burley, who signed him for Ipswich Town in 1999 when he was the long-serving boss at Portman Road, on a month's loan.
Burley has also just made a loan signing which will ring a bell with Leeds fans - that of Richard Chaplow from WBA. Kevin Blackwell made a frustrating, abortive attempt to sign him from Burnley in July 2004.
