evin Blackwell praised loan signings Tony Warner and Geoff Horsfield for their debut contributions to the Whites' opening day home victory over Norwich City.
Blackwell gushed, "Tony had a great start. He didn't have a lot to do, but what he did do looked very accomplished. The one from Earnshaw was a good save and he touched one over the top, but his handling was sure and he's a big lad with a good presence. To lose Sully so late and for the kid to turn up late last night and put in a decent performance is always pleasing."
Tony Warner, ex-Liverpool FC trainee on loan from Fulham made a clear and valuable contribution to the Leeds United victory. Geoff Horsfield's contribution was more low key. Nevertheless Kevin continued,
"And I was delighted with Geoff. He was shattered at the end, but Geoff hasn't played since February."
