ormer Leeds player John Sheridan, now manager of Oldham Athletic is
reported to be interested in taking Sean
Gregan to Boundary park. Sheridan
needs defensive cover and at least he is aware of Gregan's ability
in that role, even if Dennis
Wise clearly isn't. At a time when the
Leeds defence is at times like a music hall joke Wise is happy to unload
Gregan largely on the basis of his age. Hasn't he heard that age discrimination
is now an offence?
Oldham
Athletic manager John Sheridan needs to recruit
a defender after Stefan Stam was ruled out for up to eight weeks
with damaged ankle ligaments. However, as usual when Leeds Unitedwant
to off-load a player, it is thought his wages will be a problem.
Ridsdale may have departed but the habit of paying over the odds
for the division we are in seems to have been maintained.
Boundary Park scuttlebut suggests Sheridan may ask for
Gregan to go on loan and just pay part of his wages until the
January transfer window.
