It has now been officially announced that Gus Poyet has been appointed as a first team coach of Tottenham Hotspur.
This was expected following the announcement yesterday that not only had Leeds United given Spurs permission to speak to Gus but that a compensation package had been agreed.
Leeds United said. "Leeds United have granted permission for Tottenham Hotspur to speak to Gus Poyet with a view to him taking up employment with them having agreed a compensation package, the terms of which will remain confidential."
Gus joins a club in crisis and we wish him well and hope his tenure isn't ended by a text message!
