Former Swindon Town midfielder Curtis Weston became the second permanent signing of the close season for Dennis Wise. The twenty year-old has signed a two year deal on a free transfer after being released in June by the Wiltshire club.
Curtis was a trainee under Wise at Millwall where he became the youngest player ever to appear in an FA cup final when he came on as substitute for Wise himself in the 89th minute, aged just seventeen.
Cutis was brought to Swindon Town by Wise where he was a regular first teamer during the excellent start to the 2006-07 season made by Swindon. Wise then moved to Leeds and by the end of that season new manager Paul Sturrock felt Weston was surplus to requirements.
He scored just one goal in 24 starts and 7 sub appearances for the Robins during 2006-07.
