eon Constantine became the third signing of a busy day in the transfer market for Dennis Wise. The 29 year-old striker left our League One rivals, Port Vale,
at the end of last summer and has trained and played throughout the pre-season with Leeds United.
Like today's signings of Curtis Weston and Matt Heath, the move of Constantine was delayed by the transfer embargo enforced by the Football League during the extended administration period endured by Leeds United football club over the summer.
Like Curtis Weston, Constantine has also played for Millwall, starting his professional career there in 2000. He has made appearances for Leyton Orient (on loan), Partick Thistle (on loan), Brentford, Southend United, Peterborough and Torquay United before making a £75,000 move to Port Vale in November 2005. His scoring ratio in the League with Port Vale is an impressive 45.07%, nearly a goal every other game. His total Vale stats, including cup games, are 38 goals in 85 games (44.75%).
Leon is was injured in the pre-season friendly defeat against Czech side FC Slovan Liberec on 21 July and hasn't played since.
