10 years of injustice continues

Apr-5-2010 By admin

Leeds United, the club and its fans are remembering Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight over the Easter weekend.

The two Leeds United fans, were brutally murdered by Turks the night before our UEFA Cup semi-final clash against Galatasaray, in Istanbul, on April 5 2000.

As against Swindon Town, the Leeds United players will again remember Chris and Kevin when playing against Yeovil Town on Monday by wearing black arm bands.

Yeovil Town are to thanked for their expression of sympathy and the gesture of their players also wearing black armbands as a mark of respect.

The travelling Leeds United fans will show their respect by turning their backs to the pitch for the first minute of the game at Huish Park, just as the Leeds fans did against the Turkish scum, at that travesty of a match against Galatasaray so long ago.

While the families of Chris and Kevin await some semblance of justice from the increasingly ridiculous Turkish legal system (if anything so chaotic and racially biased can be called a system?) the Leeds Fans Remembrance aim to raise £100,000 in memory of Chris and Kevin: more details can be found at www.leedsfansremembrance.com.
