Leeds United Ladies lost the Womens’ FA Cup Final 4-1 to Arsenal Ladies at Nottingham Firest’s City ground on Bank Holiday Monday.

The match, televised live by BBC1, saw Arsenal complete their third successive League and Cup double.

Leeds got to half-time 0-0 but three goals in six minutes saw an end to the match as a competition.

That was the third successive major final defeat for Leeds United but the team is young and has plenty of time to develop. Leeds goalie Carly Telford was named “player of the match”.
