Leeds Utd sign Spurs winger Townsend

Leeds United have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend on loan until the end of the 2011-2012 season.

Townsend has starred seven times this season for Tottenham, mainly in the Europa League.

Twenty-year-old Townsend is very familiar with the Championship having already played on loan with Watford, Millwall and Ipswich.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson said of Andros on the official website, “He is a quality young player with proven experience at this level and we’re delighted to sign him.”

It ramains to be seen if Andros Townsend can replace Max Gradel.
