Newcastle United want to swap Leon Best (who? – a Coventry reject, apparently) for Max Gradel! Best has never scored for the Barcodes in 13 appearances.

Right, like we need another striker – our problems are at the other end! The Toon seem to be under the impression that we are still broke and will take any ridculous offer for our players. Well Mike Ashley please feel free to shove the offer up your fat arse, you arrogant tit.

There’s plently of burble that Andy O’Brien is in talks with Cardiff. I’d be more worried about this if the story hadn’t orginated in The Mirror. If you read that rag you’d have believed Gordon Brown was gonna be re-elected to continue his decimation of the economy for another 5 years. So I’ll chalk this story up to another fantasy tale – why would O’Brien believe Cardiff City offer a bigger future than Leeds United? Form is temporary, class is permanent, Andy.

Apparently Leeds United have been linked with Crawley Town‘s leading scorer, Matt Tubbs. Before the guffaws start remember Jermaine Beckford‘s relatively lowly background before we signed him. Interesting at least, but one for the future surely. Matt has scored a very impressive 15 league goals in 18 Conference appearances – perhaps he can show Leon Best where the net is – oh, and two more goals in three FA Cup games.

Neil Kilkenny is said to be “anxious” to sign a new contract with Leeds. Let’s hope his attitude infects Andy O’Brien!
